چکیده
Abstract: Solute segregation significantly affects material propert ies and is an essential issue in powder-bed fusion(PBF)type additional manufacturing(AM)of nickel-based superalloys. In the present study, we have investigated effects of solidification conditions temperature gradients rates on behavior Hastelloy-X Ni-based superalloy using multi- phase field(MPF)simulation. To evaluate liquation crack susceptibility, solidus temperatures were calculated predicted compositions segregated regions. MPF simulations revealed that segregations Mo Cr depletion Co become more remarkable with increasing cooling rate, this solute causes decrease a up to 17.7 K. PBF type AM process, metallic powders are solidified under unique condition high gradient G rate R, suggested strong cracks occur.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
The Effect of High Temperature Exposure on Dendritic Segregation in a Conventionally Cast Ni Based Superalloy
Dendritic segregation in conventionally cast, commercially heat treated and exposed MarM002 turbine blades has been investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDS). During casting Cr, Co and W segregate to the dendrites and Hf, Ti and Ta segregate to the eutectics. As a result of the dissolution of γ' precipitates in the dendrites and coarsening ...
متن کاملCreep Crack Growth Simulation of Ni-base Superalloy
The purpose of this study is to develop a numerical approach to simulate the creep cracking of a Ni-base superalloy. The approach is based in continuum damage mechanics (CDM) and uses the classic Kachanov-Rabotnov constitutive equations for creep deformation and damage evolution. Creep damage takes the form of defects such as microcracks, cavities, voids, etc. A numerical crack growth algorithm...
متن کاملPhase-field Modeling with CALPHAD and CVM for Microstructural Evolution of Ni-base Superalloy
To perform a quantitative simulation using the Phase Field Method (PFM) in a real alloy system, a new strategy of modeling the microstructure evolution of Ni-base superalloy is proposed in the present paper. In this strategy, the Calculation Phase Diagram (CALPHAD) method and Cluster Variation Method (CVM) are combined with the PFM, in which the four sub-lattice model is used to evaluate the fr...
متن کاملIn- and Out-of Phase Thermomechanical Fatigue of a Ni-Based Single-Crystal Superalloy
In this study, the difference between in-phase (IP) and out-of-phase (OP) thermomechanical fatigue (TMF) cycling from 100 to 750 ◦C has been investigated for the Ni-based single-crystal superalloy MD2. In addition, two different crystal orientations were studied, the 〈001〉 and 〈011〉 orientations respectively. When comparing IP and OP TMF lives, a strain range dependency is found for the 〈001〉 d...
